What is the WDIC?

compass for directionThe Washington Development Industry Council (WDIC) is a 501 (c) (6) non-profit membership organization dedicated to advancing the performance and profits of certified businesses in the real estate development, architecture and engineering and construction industries.

Who can join the WDIC?

Membership in the WDIC is open to businesses in real estate development, architecture and engineering, construction and construction related services that are certified by the District of Columbia as local, small disadvantaged businesses and to not-for-profit organizations and trade associations; and persons in leadership positions in business, government or education that support the mission of the WDIC. Non-certified businesses may join the WDIC as non-voting Strategic Partners.

How can I become a member?

To join, you can either sign up online at www.wdic.com or download our Membership Application (PDF) and mail or fax it to us.  After your membership is processed, you will receive a membership login ID and password to enable you to access the member-only areas of the website at www.wdic.com.
WDIC membership is recorded in the name of the company, not the individual.  Therefore, any designee of the company may attend and participate on behalf of the company.   Membership dues are nonrefundable and are subject to change.  Membership is for one fiscal year and comes due for renewal on the last day of the month prior to the start of the new fiscal year.  For the purpose of membership, business owners are defined as owners or co-owners of companies engaged in real estate development, architecture and engineering, construction and construction related services.
